"Mommy, I want new legs"

A good friend of mine and I took Kasey to the Mall the other day. I could tell Kasey was having a bad day. She has been clingy and wanted to be carried everywhere. She looked at me and said, "Mommy, I want new legs." How do you respond to something like that? It brought tears to our eyes... I am never certain if I am making the right decisions for her and that bothers me daily. Kasey’s Rheumatologist now has concerns about her liver function which will require continued tests and medication adjustments. The stress comes and goes but the pain of having a child with a chronic medical problem never leaves me. I wonder if she will ever know what it is like to not hurt. - Deb

I truly cannot imagine the burden this has put on you all. We will pray for improvement in Kasey's condition to a level where she can be a happy, pain free kid all the time. We look forward to seeing her smile on the walk coming up!
